Private 24886 William Abraham Rooks, 9th Bn., Suffolk Regiment died on Wednesday, 13th September 1916 aged 30. He was the son of Robert and Alice Maria Rooks of Milton. He died on the Somme and his grave is unknown but he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France
