Booking system for Household Recycling Centres – Cambridgeshire County Council
- The Centre is open from 9am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 6pm at weekends
- They have doubled the number of slots available so even at the busiest times there have been spare slots unused
- You can now make a booking as little as one hour before the time slot (used to be longer)
- They have increased the number of visits you can make to 2 visits in 7 days (it used to be 1 in 7 days) to help those doing a big clear-out.
- Many people have said they prefer making a booking because they don’t have to wait in a queue to get in, it’s not so crowded when they are there and their overall journey is quicker.
- If you don’t have the internet, call the Council Contact Centre on 0345 045 5200 and they will make a booking for you.
- If you don’t want to book you can use the Centre at Witchford, which does not require booking.
- The County Council is following government guidance about protecting its staff by enabling social distancing and keeping staff safe while the pandemic is ongoing and case rates are rising in Cambridgeshire.
- Every day the Council is having to adjust staff working arrangements to cover when staff have to self-isolate because of being pinged by the NHS app, the purpose of which is reduce transmission.
- The Council will re-evaluate the situation in the w/c 16 August, depending on Covid case rates in Cambridgeshire, availability of staff etc.
