This information from Highways England could be interesting to those who travel along the A14. It will start on 1 June and last until 20 August.
Essential work to the A14 westbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be carried. The work will include strengthening the verge, safety barrier and lamp column repairs and resurfacing.
This work is planned over 3 months from Tuesday 1 June to Friday 20 August, subject to weather conditions. Most of the work will be carried out under narrow lanes, whilst the road remains open, however a full overnight closure of the A14 junction 33 and the slip road will be required at the start and end, as detailed below:
Closures and diversions are as follows:
A14 junction 33 westbound slip road closure – Tuesday 1 June 2021 and Friday 20 August 2021 – 8pm to 6am
Westbound traffic will be diverted via Milton Interchange, heading eastbound on the A14, then taking the B1047 exit at junction 34, before re-joining the A14 westbound.
A14 junction 33 westbound closure – Wednesday 2 June 2021 and Thursday 19 August 2021 – 8pm to 6am
Westbound traffic on the A14 will be diverted via the junction 33 exit slip onto Milton Interchange to re-join the A14.
