There are now even more laptops available, so please do ask if your child could do with one of these!
Local residents Rick Moore and Charlie Drew have been busy refurbishing laptops for local children at Milton CE Primary School to improve their home-schooling experience. They’ve been working closely with the school to identify families who would benefit from extra/updated devices and to arrange delivery or collection of the laptops in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions.
In just six days, they created a Facebook page for the cause and finished the first six donated laptops. Each laptop has been cleaned, upgraded, safety-tested and set-up so that it is ready to be used by a local student. Electrical PAT testing was kindly carried out by Landbeach-based company iPAT services.
If your children attend Milton CE Primary School and feel that they would benefit from their own laptop for home learning, please contact the school as soon as possible. If you’d like to help, please consider donating your old laptops and chargers or donate to their JustGiving page to help pay for the upgrades to the donated laptops: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/laptops4kids?utm_term=mDy8K4XQj. If they receive more laptops than are required by students at Milton CE Primary School, then they will look to offer them to children attending other local schools.
Specifically they are looking for laptops to: be in good working order with a good screen (not blurry/cracked) with all keys attached to the keyboard; be sanitised and cleaned before donating; have Windows 7, 8 or 10 installed.
