Further to previous posts about the COVID-19 cycling and walking schemes in Milton and today’s parish council meeting about the scheme, here is the link to the two documents posted on Milton Facebook groups which outline several proposals for how Milton might apply for the current government grant money for measures to encourage cycling and walking in Milton. You can view the documents here.
Some of these proposals will significantly change the way that many residents and neighbourhoods can move around the village. This evening’s parish council meeting will have discussed these proposals and other comments already made to Anna.
Please note that there is no guarantee than any or all of these will be approved by the Highways Office or that any money will be allocated to Milton. Any ideas which are approved will be implemented under an emergency order prior to any local public consultation. A 6 month trial period will then follow during which feedback will be gathered and the temporary implementation period will last for 18 months.
For full details of the scheme, please see here.
