The Parish Council has put out a request for volunteers to help with the Community Gritting Team. This is a scheme where volunteers can help to keep their community moving in freezing weather. Under this scheme, the parish council agrees specific routes in their area which are important to the local community and agrees them with the county council. Volunteers undertake training and grit the routes. Currently this includes the Jane Coston bridge.
