This Sunday (1st July) is the return of the Country Park’s ParkLife event. Parklife allows visitors to explore a variety of ways to improve their health and wellbeing and the opportunity to try a range of sports with a view to inspiring them to be more active.
This year there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, circus skills and balance bikes. There will also be pond-dipping and some wildlife activities, including a “bushcraft lunch” that might be appropriate with an adult. There will be live music, dancing and lots of opportunities to join in.In addition there will be a range of refreshments, a vintage tea tent and plenty of space to picnic. All activities are free of charge, just turn up to take a turn. However, bookings for paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking can be either made on the day, or booked in advance on Milton Country Park’s website.
This event also sees the launch of the Country Park’s new children’s playground. Congratulations to the team at Cambridge Sports Lakes for renewing one of the most popular and well loved facilities in the village.
There will be a free 30 minute Buggy Bootcamp session at 11am in the main entertainment area. Mums and children are welcomed along to a free baby-friendly workout.
Running in parallel is the Phoenix Trust Open Day. You can access the Phoenix Trust from the Country Park by following the path to the side of the Wild Place.
