Amey Cespa seek consultation

Message from Amey Cespa:

Amey is proposing to develop a new waste treatment facility at our Waterbeach Waste Management Park and would like to invite residents to find out more about our plans.

We will be holding two drop-in sessions to provide information and answer your questions. These will take place on Friday 8 September (2pm to 8pm) and Saturday 9 September (10am – 4pm). No booking is required and you can drop in at any time.

During the sessions our team will be on hand to explain the proposals for an energy from waste facility, which would create energy in the form of electricity, heat or a mix of both.

Our aim is to develop the new facility on land next to the existing Mechanical Biological Treatment hall. This land is already allocated as a suitable location for energy from waste development in Cambridgeshire County Council’s adopted Minerals and Waste Plan.

The facility would incorporate state-of-the-art, proven technology to deal with household and commercial waste.

Before we submit a planning application, we are keen to hear your views, which we will consider before finalising our proposals.

The sessions will be held at Waterbeach Waste Management Park, Ely Road, Waterbeach, CB25 9PG. Parking is available.

If you have any questions before the sessions, please contact us at wasteenquiries@amey.co.uk or on 01223 861010.
