Highways England have just published their latest newsletter on their scheme (Adobe/PDF, 2500KB) to upgrade the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon. This affects Milton as the proposal is to widen the A14 to three lanes each way as far as the A10 junction.

Subject to the outcome of the development consent order examination by the Planning Inspectorate, and to the Transport Secretary’s decision regarding the development consent order application, the proposed scheme is on target for main construction work to start in late 2016. The new bypass and widened A14
would open to traffic in 2020.
