This Sunday (13/9) CamSAR (Cambridge Search & Rescue) are attempting to break the world record for the largest ever game of hide & seek at Milton Country Park! Those who came last year will know what great fun it was. If you weren’t there then do take a look at the video from last year for a taster of what to expect.
1437 is the number to beat and it’s looking likely there will be quite a few more entrants than last year. Whether they beat the record or not it’s still a really fun event in the park and a great way to support CamSAR, a dedicated team of fully trained volunteers who do valuable work supporting the police in their search for vulnerable missing persons.
There is a minimum donation of £2 on entry and you can register from 10:30am. The games will begin at 2pm and be finished by 5pm at the latest.
There will be prizes for best dressed (they’re keen to see some madness in the outfit choices), youngest player, oldest player and furthest travelled to participate. If the record is broken there will also be a certificate available to download from the Guinness World Record website.
On the day there will also be a training ambulance and staff from East of England Ambulance Service Trust on site alongside CamSAR team members to give lessons in first aid, CPR and using defibrillators to all comers. Learn (or re-learn) to save a life!
Come along, bring your friends, have some fun and let’s see if we can get in the record books!
