All Saints’ are collecting for refugees in Calais. Can you help provide the following items needed, or make a donation to help buy supplies?
- FOOD – Rice, Tuna, Beans, Lentils, Flour, Tea, Long-life Milk, Vegetable Oil;
- SANITARY ITEMS – Toilet Paper, Wipes, Sanitary Towels, Disinfectant, Toiletries;
- MEDICINE – Plasters, Bandages;
- CLOTHES – Underwear, Socks, Warm Clothes; Trainers and Doc Martin type shoes/boots (sizes 7-11); Jeans/Trousers waist 30/32;
- OTHER – Blankets; Sleeping Bags; Duvets; Pots and Pans; Tents and Tarpaulins
The items and donations will be passed to a group in Cambridge that is going to Calais on 3rd October and will deliver them to the refugees.
All Saints’ are also planning a sale in the church hall to raise money to buy more items (date to follow). Any items All Saints’ cannot send will be sold.
Please donate other items for the sale too.
Cash donations will also be collected to cover transport costs or to buy other items of need.
Please bring items or donations to the church office weekdays 9am-12:30pm or the church on Sunday mornings between 10-10:30am or 12-12:30pm.
If you would like to make a cash donation, this can be dropped through the Rectory letter box (24 Church Lane) at any time, in a sealed envelope marked for the Calais Refugees.
