Parklife, South Cambridgeshire District Council‘s free family fun day at Milton Country Park, takes place this Sunday (19/7). Organised in partnership with Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust, Parklife allows visitors to explore a variety of ways to improve their health and wellbeing and the opportunity to try a range of sports with a view to inspiring them to be more active.
Exclusive to this year’s event, there will be a Rugby Zone, part of the national Festival of Rugby marking the year that England hosts the Rugby World Cup.
There will be lots to do, see and try, such as paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the lake plus, archery, climbing, inflatables, dancing and an action packed cycling zone. Live entertainment and craft activities will also feature. There will be something for everyone!

All activities are free of charge and for most you simply turn up and take your turn.
However, you must make bookings for paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, which you can do on the day between 10am and 10:45am, to be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Qualified instructors will take you through these water sports and you will be surprised how quickly you are able to take to the water and enjoy the fun of these activities. All water sports will begin at 11am and end at 6pm.
