The management at the Jolly Brewers would like to stress that this awful incident was in no way connected with the Jolly Brewers, it just happened close to the pub which is why the police used it as a way of locating the incident for people. They hope that the lady in question recovers soon.

(We should also apologise that we may have caused confusion by initially labelling it on the web site and in the Milton News mailing on Wednesday as “last Saturday, 7th March”, it was indeed 7th March, not last Saturday. We added the “last” when editing the police press release – it didn’t occur to us at the time that they would have waited so long before asking for witnesses!)
