Officers are investigating an unprovoked assault outside the Jolly Brewers on Fen Road. The victim, a 57 year old woman, was attacked by two men and a woman between 7:30pm and 8pm on Saturday, 7th March, near the pub. She had spoken to the offenders briefly before the attack took place and was left unconscious with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The attackers were described as all being in their late 20s or early 30s, a white woman and man and a black man. The latter was described as having short “afro” hair and wore a t-shirt and jeans. The woman had long, straight brown hair.

It is believed they all made off in a dark BMW saloon, possibly dark blue.
