For early risers you have one last chance to see a steam hauled train this Thursday morning (18/12) when our old friend LNER A4 class No. 60009 “Union of South Africa” hauls The Christmas White Rose from Cambridge to York and back. No confirmed timings yet but it looks like it’s going to be an early start as The Railway Touring Company are talking about leaving Cambridge at 07:41 and returning at around 22:44.

While we’re on the subject of trains the Flickr group Milton Level Crossing which we mentioned before has 18 photos by 5 different photographers at the time of writing featuring a variety of trains crossing the level crossing over the years.
