Work will be starting shortly on the A10 Milton/Landbeach Junction. The scheme to improve safety was designed and consulted upon after villagers and councillors expressed their concern for pedestrians and cyclists. The new layout will aid pedestrians and cyclists crossing the A10 between Humphries Way, Milton and Landbeach Road and include a crossing point where currently no crossing facilities exist.
Cambridgeshire County Council are planning to start construction on the 8th July and expect the works to take about 8 weeks to complete. Temporary traffic lights will be in place when required. During some periods a diversion route for vehicles may also be needed.
Most work will be carried out during off-peak hours (9:30am – 3:30pm) along with some additional night time and Sunday working. Noise will be kept to a minimum throughout the construction period.
Works include reducing the length of the slip road on Humphries Way and completing the cycle link to Landbeach.
The council apologise for the inconvenience which may occur during these works.
