In an one of those examples of how organisations think just changing the name of a thing will somehow make us feel differently about it the Cambridge Sewage Treatment Works just across the A14 in Cowley Road now appears to have been renamed by Anglian Water as the “Cambridge Water Recycling Centre”, which at least sounds rather less smelly …

But all joking aside they tell us that they are making some improvements to the Cambridge Water Recycling Centre which they would like to tell the village about so they are holding a drop-in session (Yes, you’re not the only one who though that was a potentially unfortunate choice of words too, thank goodness it’s happening at the community centre not the sewage works) at Milton Community Centre this Tuesday (13/5) from 5pm to 8pm where you can see their plans and chat to their team. Refreshments will be provided.
