Cambridgeshire County Council is considering options to make the A10 junction at Humphries Way & Landbeach Road safer. There is a Public Consultation scheduled for Monday (23/9) from 4-8pm at the Milton Community Centre (there will also be a consultation in Landbeach on Thursday, 3rd October from 4-8pm at Landbeach Village Hall if you can’t make the first date). The county council would like to inform villagers of the options and obtain your views and comments.
Essentially there are two options which are illustrated on these maps, taken from their leaflet (Adobe/PDF, 1440KB). The first involves closing the slip lane to Milton, narrowing the Cambridge bound carriageway and creating a two stage crossing across the A10 thus:
The second option is to widen the existing triangular island in the middle of the A10 to create three crossing points thus:
Further information about the options can be found in
their leaflet (Adobe/PDF, 1440KB) where there is also a form you can fill in and return in a FREEPOST address with your comments about the options.
