In summary the results across the county in yesterday’s Cambridgeshire County Council election were as follows:
Party | Seats | +/- |
---|---|---|
Conservative | 32 | -7 |
Liberal Democrat | 14 | -7 |
UK I P | 12 | +10 |
Labour | 7 | +4 |
Independent | 4 | +1 |
Green | 0 | -1 |
Total | 69 |
Note that the “+/-” column is relative to the make up of the council immediately before the election, not the state of the council after the 2009 election (it has changed since, which is why the BBC results page shows different figures).
You can find the detailed division by division results online here on the county council web site.
So this means Cambridgeshire will be “No Overall Control” for the next four years, for the first time since 1997.
