We’ve just added to our page on the war memorial a photo which is dated 1922 and we suspect was taken when the memorial was being dedicated. At that time the war memorial was located near the bus stop at Pond Green, but was moved in the early 60s to make way for the new Ely Road.

Dedicating the memorial at its original location in 1922
