Cambridgeshire County Council is proposing a new railway station in the north of Cambridge. The station will be built in the area of Chesterton sidings, close to Cambridge Business Park, the Science Park and St John’s Innovation Centre and is to be called “Cambridge Science Park” (Which is, as is happens part of the civil parish of Milton, so we could argue it should have been called Milton Station!).
You can find out more about the development in this leaflet. They are also visiting various locations with the plans so you can ask questions, including Milton:
Chesterton | 14th Nov | 4.30 – 7.30pm | The Shirley Centre, Nuffield Road, Cambridge CB4 1TF |
St John’s | 15th Nov | 12noon – 2pm | St John’s Innovation Centre, 1st floor atrium, Cowley Rd, Cambridge CB4 0WS |
Milton | 19th Nov | 4.30 – 7.30pm | Milton Primary School, Humphries Way, Milton CB24 6DL |
Science Park | 21st Nov | 12noon – 2pm | Cambridge Science Park, Boardroom, Unit 23 CB4 0FZ |
The council want to know if you would support the building of the new railway station and how you might use it. Your answers will help them to improve their plans and shape the scheme. So please complete their online questionnaire at and let them know any further comments you might have by Friday, 30th November.
