As part of the Olympics Festival Turner Prize-winning artist and musician Martin Creed has created a piece Work No. 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes and here in Milton we’re taking part in it and we’d like you to take part too.

As the All The Bells web site explains the plan is that we all ring our bells at 8:12am on Friday (27/7) for three minutes so we’re gathering at All Saints’ in Church Lane where Barry is going to ring the church bells (which will be the first time that’s been done for a while!) while we ring whatever bells we have found and brought along in the churchyard below.

So come along and bring your bells. We will also have enough spare bells to furnish up to eight small children with a bell. And if you’re cycling to work near Church Lane at around that time why not make a little detour and ring your bike bell with us?
