Our old friend Britannia Pacific 70013 Oliver Cromwell (pictured below on a previous outing past Milton) is steaming south past Milton this Thursday (8/12) morning at about 08:25 hauling “The Cathedrals Express” from Ely to Oxford. It will return after dark at about 22:15.
It also has to get to Ely before this all starts so there’s another movement at about 06:40 on Thursday morning where it will pass Milton heading north but it will be headed by a diesel at that point so probably not worth getting out of bed for. Full details here.
And if all of that’s enough for you it will be passing through Milton again on Friday morning at about 10:15 heading south but again that will be diesel headed. Full details of that here.
(We also have another old friend LNER A4 60019 Bittern, which is currently running under false colours as 4492, Dominion of New Zealand, coming through horribly early on Saturday morning. More on that later in the week.)
