The Cam Conservators, who are responsible for the River Cam past Milton and whose office is at Baits Bite lock, have been awarded a 2011 South Cambridgeshire District Council Conservation Award for their work in enhancing the local area. They got the award for the management of veteran willow trees and new planting along the Haling Way on the Cam.
