Fourteen people have been nominated as candidates for Milton Parish Council so there will not be an election next month and the new council will probably co-opt another member later. They are:

Ian Tyes was the only one who entered anything in the “Description” field describing himself as “Independent”.
There are three new councillors David Chamberlin, Michael Perkins and Ian Tyes. For the first time in a long time two of these don’t live in the village. Michael lives in the parish, in the detached part in Chesterton Fen and Ian lives in Cambridge but qualifies on distance living well within three miles of the parish.
Four parish councillors are standing down: Bob Waters, Roger Day, Barry Jefferson and Phil Badley – all of whom have served on the council for a long time, some for a very long time.
