Milton Post Office on Coles Road was ram raided at about 2am on Thursday morning causing serious damage to the front of the shop. According to Cambridge News a stolen 4×4 was used to try to drag the cash dispenser out with a rope.

When this failed they made off in the black 4×4, which had been stolen from Melbourn and was later recovered by police.

In the morning Anil and Val carried on regardless selling newspapers to villagers from the street outside.
