We have been asked for some more information about what exactly is being done on Butt Lane and Milton Road, Impington especially as this scheme was controversial because of its potential impact on free school travel to Impington and also because it did nothing to address the issue of the winding section before and past the church in Impington.

The information the parish council have is that it will be an extension of the pavement from the start of the 30mph speed limit on Milton Road, Impington initially to the former poultry farm on Butt Lane (just before the Mere Way) which is now being re-developed as an industrial estate. The remaining link to the path as far as the re-cycling centre will be constructed by “a developer”, presumably the company who is developing that industrial estate.
