This Sunday (29/8) “The Cathedrals Express” steam special will be passing Milton twice hauled by LMS/BR
‘Black Five’ No. 44932. Unconfirmed (at the time of writing) timetable information is available here and on that basis it should pass Milton heading north at about 13:15 and return at about 19:45.
And advance notice that, subject to confirmation, the next scheduled visit by a steam train will be on Thursday 11th November when the “The Cathedrals Express Armistice Day Special” will be passing Milton hauled by the 2008 built LNER Peppercorn A1 Pacific No. 60163 “Tornado” – which is the train all us steam enthusiasts have long been waiting for.
