As you may have seen in the parish council chairman’s
report (Adobe/PDF, 33KB) in the latest edition of Milton Village View we are being consulted about what the council should decide to do about an offer relating to the retirement village which is to be built at the north end of the village.

Essentially the options are:

• construction and long-term lease of playing fields as well as a sports pavilion and car park on land next to the village which can then be used for formal recreation
• a lump sump of £200,000 to be spent by the parish council elsewhere in the village to provide recreational facilities

There are pros and cons to both these options which make the choice far from straightforward and you may want to make your views known. The chairman’s report suggests ways in which you could do that.
