These committees of the parish council meet on Monday night in the Bowls Pavilion.

The planning committee is meeting at 7pm. It’s
agenda (Adobe/PDF, 144KB) includes the application from Helical Ltd for the retirement community which will include 100 homes and a warden’s unit on the land which was previously the electricity board training ground at the north end of the village.

The committee will also be considering an application from Godden Auto Services Ltd at Bene’t Garage for “demolition of three single storey storage/tyre fitting garages and erection of one and a half storey garage building on expanded footprint serving the same function and providing additional workshop space” and an application from the College of West Anglia for various signs.

The finance and staffing committee is meeting at 7:45pm. This is the meeting where it decides what expenditure to recommend to full council for the next financial year so that’s on the agenda (Adobe/PDF, 143KB) along with various other items.
