Your parish council discussed the A14 widening last night and its implications for the village. It’s a subject they could have spent the rest of the night on and beyond and they needed to gather more facts so a proposal was made to hold ad hoc meetings with other parties this month, to discuss the issue again at December’s meeting, to consider holding a public meeting in December to both brief the village on what the options are and let villagers air their views, and then for the council to decide its response at its January meeting. With that in mind they agreed to bring the date of that meeting forward a week to 4th January.
