The parish council has received a request from an Associate Producer at Available Light Productions who is researching a three part documentary series for BBC4 on the British village. This follows their series “Mud, Sweat & Tractors” also for BBC4.

The idea is to look at the changes to the village in the last hundred years, through the perspective of amateur films/home movies, made by villagers, and using the recollections of the film makers, and people appearing in the films, as a basis for the programmes.

They are looking for amateur film, going back as far as possible, made by local people on such topics as: family life, the village hall, the church, the pub, the country house, the village shop etc.
