As mentioned here before Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust have submitted a proposal to SCDC, for funding towards a project to create opportunities for beginners rowing and canoeing on Todd’s Pit in Milton Country Park (the lake nearest the village).

CSLT gave a presentation about this to your parish council at its meeting last Monday. Young fishermen who attended the meeting expressed their concerns about the impact of this on their fishing and councillors also closely questioned the representatives from CSLT on issues around this including the use of loud hailers (which apparently are likely to be used) and the power boat (which will only be used in emergencies).

When it came to a vote the parish council was unable to come to a decision on whether or not to support the proposal and intend to write to SCDC to say this.
