This is now old news to those who read milton-chat but the recent activity in the field opposite Tesco was because the main sewage pipe had been broken by the company who had been instructed to do some trial bore holes as part of the preliminary investigation for the redevelopment of the site. As you will have seen they dug down, fixed the pipe and the surface has now been restored.
