There has been some discussion on the milton-chat mailing list about what’s going on in the field opposite Tesco where we still had water pooling even after the hot spell. There had previously been speculation that this was down to the protective membrane having not been removed after the field was used during the A14/A10 roundabout reconstruction but the latest suggestion is that one of the exploratory boreholes dug a little while ago might have fractured a water main.

No definitive answers as yet however and the debate continues.
