As previously mentioned next week is Milton’s ‘Week of Action’. South
Cambridgeshire Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) will be
helping villagers to get advice on crime prevention and safeguarding their
homes and belongings.
Milton representatives from South Cambridgeshire District Council,
Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Milton Parish Council and Cambridgeshire Fire
and Rescue Service are working together to give residents crime reduction
advice and help on how to keep their homes and belongings safe.
There are two events during the week open to the public:
- an event on Tuesday 18 March at Milton Country Park from 12 to 2pm.
Members of the public are invited to register their property using
Immobilise the UK national property register. Anyone can bring along any
property they would like to be registered such as mobile phones, laptops
and bicycles and PCSO Scott Evans and a crime reduction officer will be
there to help register them. - a roadshow on Thursday 20 March at Tesco from 10am to 4pm. All members
of the public are welcome to attend to meet crime prevention officers
and local PCSOs who will be available to give out crime prevention
advice and literature
Activities in the week also include an environmental audit, litter picking
and home checks providing fire safety and crime prevention advice from the
fire service and crime prevention officers, the latter being coordinated
through various organisations in the village.
