The 9 service runs from Cambridge city centre to Milton and vice versa in the day time excluding services at peak times into Cambridge in the morning and out in the evening (during which times it’s replaced by the Citi 2). Some services go on to Ely (and then most of those go on to either Chatteris or Littleport).
It is timetabled to do the journey in around fifteen minutes and is essentially a half hourly service from Monday to Saturday starting from Cambridge at 07:45 through to 16:45 and going into Cambridge the earliest bus leaves Landbeach Road at 08:55 and the last departs at 18:47.
There is no evening service or Sunday service however three Citi 2 buses do run out to Milton. They departs from the City Centre St Andrew’s Street stop S1 at 22:03, 22:33 and 23:03 and arrive in Milton at 24 minutes later.
The buses run through Milton stopping at the following places through the village:
- at the junction of Landbeach Road and Humphries Way
- opposite Waggon & Horses*
- outside the New Apostolic Church/One Stop
- near Barnabas Court
- opposite Tesco
The service 9 buses go by way of Milton Road (making good use of the bus lane), Mitcham’s Corner and across the river into Bay 5 at Drummer Street.
The return journey follows the same route in reverse and continues to Ely and beyond.
You can find bus timetables and maps on the County Council web site and Stagecoach have details of their services online including timetables and maps.
* This stop is due to move to Ely Road at some point in the future.
