This charity with a branch in Milton (just next to the Waggon and horses) supports bullied and traumatised children unable to attend school. Our students are celebrating overcoming huge challenges with another great set of GCSE results. Of children who took GCSE maths, for example, 92% received grades 4 to 9 (the old grades C to A*), and 75% achieved the same in English. They gained a whole host of other qualifications alongside these fantastic results. These students have often been out of school for months or years and find returning to education incredibly difficult.
Michelle Williams, Headteacher said: “Our students should be extremely proud of themselves.”
“Our young people come to us completely un-engaged in education. To achieve these results is a testament to how far they have come, not only academically but also in terms of their self-confidence and mental health.”
