Milton company AG First Aid Training has announced a free access workshop where you can learn how to use a defibrillator. On Wednesday 27th March between 4.30pm and 7pm you can drop in to the North Lodge Pavilion where in partnership with AC Event Services AG First Aid Training will be demonstrating how to use AED (Automated External Defibrillator) such as the one by the Parish Council office and in Milton Country Park.
Not only can you see the the defibrillators should be used, you will also be able to try one out under the care of AG First Aid trainers. AG First Aid founder Amelia Grant said: “We are not assessing you! We support by building people’s confidence in first aid. Come and see how easy it is to learn CPR and how to use an AED. It is better to know it and not need it than to need it and not know it! Many people thinking that these units are there only for a paramedic or trained medical professionals to use. This is not so! Building people’s confidence in first aid is what we do! We are passionate in wanting to support as many people as possible accessing and learning important life saving skills.”
This is a drop in event. Refreshments are provided. Everyone from the local community is welcome. Demonstrations will be on-going, every 30 minutes with opportunities for people to have a go. There will be information stands and a raffle raising funds for Cambridgeshire Search And Rescue and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
