From Wednesday 11th December your paper recycling caddy that sits inside the blue bin will become defunct. Instead you are asked to put your paper directly inside the blue bin.
South Cambs District Council say that mixing the paper in with the rest of the recycling will allow them to save around £670,00 over the next seven years in vehicle costs, fuel, maintenance and staff as well as reducing traffic and emissions.
After 11 December, you can keep your caddy and use it however you wish. Alternatively, you can take it to a household recycling centre for recycling. Caddies should not be placed into wheeled bins.
