South Cambs have announced dramatic changes to the bin collection dates. From 27th February a new bin collection schedule will be in place. You will receive a leaflet through your door but you can get the new schedule now from https://www.scambs.gov.uk/sites/default/files/spring_collection_calendar_2017.pdf.

Until 27th February the current bin collection will apply. This means that Milton collections will be:

Tue Jan 31 BLACK

Tue Feb 7 BLUE & GREEN

Tue Feb 14 BLACK

Tue Feb 21 BLUE

Fri Mar 3 BLUE & GREEN

Fri Mar 10 BLACK

Fri Mar 17 BLUE & GREEN

There will be 38 days between green bin collections instead of the usual winter 28. South Cambs website says that extra recycling can be left by the blue bin in a returnable container or cardboard box (or clear plastic sack) but extra garden waste will have to be taken to the Recycling Centre on Butt Lane.

The savings of the new scheme will be £700,000 over three years with 20,000 fewer miles travelled.
