Milton Country Park‘s Autumn Festival which takes place this Sunday (27/9) from 11am-4pm is one of the biggest events of the year run by park staff and volunteers and is an important fundraiser for the park, which is run by a charitable trust.
Launched in 2014 the event has built on the popular Produce Show and farming event by creating a family day designed to showcase some of our best local independent food, craft and community enterprise.
There’s plenty at the festival for everyone to enjoy; you can browse the craft stalls, watch demonstrations, enjoy campfire cooking and den building in the Wild Place and get hands on with our visiting animals and tractors. If you’re hungry you could have lunch in the café or at a choice of some of the region’s finest street food vendors, enjoy a pint of locally brewed ale or cider at our pop up bar, try delicious apple juice pressed from apples grown in our very own orchard and there are even food and treats available to buy and take home. The children will find plenty of activities and competitions to keep them busy but we’ve noticed they particularly like playing in the hay!
You can find more details about this free family event (car park £3) here on the Park’s website.
