Cambridge Open Studios 2015

The artistic community in Milton is expanding with three new people taking part in Cambridge Open Studios in the village this year, joining Alison Hullyer, Chris Thomas and Pam Paterson. So look out for the yellow flags springing up all over the village in July.

We have jewellers Cheryl Bird and Linda Bartlett showcasing their beautiful silver and gold jewellery inspired by nature and incorporating pearls and semi-precious stones. Their work can be found at the studio in the garden of 6 Cambridge Road.

In Hall End, off Fen Road, Chris Thomas will be showing his dazzling photographs taken through a microscope, with postcards and prints available. His daughter Louise Thomas is showing her unique patchwork pieces and will have quilts and everyday items on display. Also in Hall End is professional illustrator and printmaker Alison Hullyer showing her new bird themed drypoint prints and her wonderful range of screen printed tea towels, coasters and cards.

All their studios are open to the public on the weekends of 11th & 12th and 18th & 19th July from 11am until 6pm.

Pam Paterson is taking part in Open Studios for the second time and is open all four weekends in July. With over ten years experience of bead weaving, visit her studio at 2 Mansfield Close, to see her jewellery and other items.

You can pick up free guides, which include a map showing over 300 artists taking part, from the Post Office, Community Centre and many other places.
