We hear via milton-chat that Elgoods, who own the Osteria, Waggon and Horses are beginning full refurbishment works on Monday, which will last about three to four weeks, with new tenants coming in, with a view to re-opening at the beginning of October, running it as an Italian restaurant.

Meanwhile the Jolly Brewers is pleased to announce that they have been chosen for inclusion in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2015. The Good Beer Guide is fully revised and updated each year and features pubs across the United Kingdom that serve the best real ale. Now in its 42nd edition, this pub guide is completely independent with listings based entirely on nomination and evaluation by CAMRA members. This means you can be sure that every one of the 4,500 pubs deserves their place, plus they all come recommended by people who know a thing or two about good beer.

As a thank you to all of their customers all real ales will be on sale throughout October at £2.80 per pint. Copies of the book will be available behind the bar at £11 for CaMRA members and £16 for non members.
