The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. People across the UK – and sometimes further afield – hold a coffee morning where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year Macmillan raised a record £20.5 million from this event!

As part of this event a coffee morning is being held at the Lion & Lamb this Friday (26/9) from 9-11am. Coffee, Tea Cakes, Tombola & other table top stalls. All proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Birgit, Shan, Karen and Sarah, who are organising the event are looking for your help you make it a success. They need:

• Volunteers on the day, starting with setting up from 8 am at the pub and finishing with clearing up afterwards so Sally can serve lunch. They are only asking for 30 min or 1 hour of your time!
• Bakers!!! (please let them know if you are planning to bake beforehand so they have some idea what’s coming and drop your goods off at the pub from 8am on the day)
• Raffle/tombola prices
• Places to put posters – if you would like one for your office or front window
