News From The Waggon & Horses

David Anthony, landlord of the Osteria, Waggon and Horses has written to the village inviting you all to a bit of a party this Saturday (8/12):

Well we’ve been here just over four months, so as the new landlord (David) and landlady (Louise) along with Robert our chef, we thought it would be a good time to introduce ourselves and say hello to Milton, whilst bringing everyone up to date with what’s going on here now, and what’s in the future.

Firstly a very big thank you to our regulars who have stuck with us while we get things done here, the decorating and refurbishment works are going to be completed in phases and phase one is almost done, so we would like to extend an open invitation to anyone who would like to see how we’re getting on.

On Saturday 8th December 2012 we will be having a bit of a celebration, it’s been hard work getting this far so figure we might as well invite everyone along to join us for a 1930’s themed evening, fancy dress is optional but as we’ve taken the place back to when it was first rebuilt we thought maybe others would like to get into the spirit of the theme, and go for a 20’s/30’s/40’s look too. The evening starts at around 7pm with canapé being served from about 8pm until we run out. With luck we’ll even have someone who can play our piano for us by then too, so we hope to see more of you then, for a bit of a party. If anyone would like to know what our future plans are, you’re more than welcome to ask either on the night, or just pop in and see us, even we are excited at the prospect of what’s coming next.

Hope to see you soon.
