Fire & Rescue Consultation

There is a consultation taking place on further collaboration, up to a full merger, between Cambridgeshire and Suffolk fire and rescue services. This is your opportunity to give your views on the two services collaborating further in the coming years, potentially up to merging together into one service for both areas. Your views will be included within the full business case, which is currently being put together and is likely to be presented to the Fire Authority and Suffolk County Council Cabinet in the New Year.

The consultation pack and online feedback form is
available online. The form does not ask for any personal information.

Graham Stagg, Chief Fire Officer, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said:

I would like to emphasise that there is still a lot of work to do, and that we will only proceed with further collaboration if it is the right decision for the residents of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Hard copies of the consultation pack and feedback form are available at libraries and fire stations around Cambridgeshire. If you would like a hard copy posted to you, contact the fire service on 01480 444 500.
