Be a Sport Maker

Are you someone that enjoys sport and physical activity? A club that could get more of your members involved in local sport? Or need help running a local activity/event? Then attend a free 2 hour workshop – including a sporting taster session – from 10am to noon on May 19th at Milton Country Park.

Sport Makers is part of the official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy. It is about inspiring people to do the simple things that make sport happen, whether that’s booking a court, planning the route or encouraging people to take part.

Being a Sport Maker can happen on any day of the week and at any time and these are only just a few examples. The only restriction is that Sport Makers are those 16+ and that make adult participation in sport happen.

The Journey of a Sport Maker:

  1. Register on www.sportmakers.co.uk
  2. Book a free place on one of the Sport Makers workshops taking place near you
  3. Attend the event where you will get the skills, knowledge and opportunities to get others active and enjoying sport. You will also receive Adidas goodies to keep and identify you as a Sport Maker
  4. Put what you’ve learnt into practice by encouraging others to get active and have fun. You can come up with your own activity or search through lots of opportunities on www.sportmakers.co.uk
  5. Tell them what you’ve been up to and log 10 hours
