Did you know that the allotments in Milton (down by the golf course) provides food for the hospice? Allotment holders put their surplus produce into the ‘Foodshare’ bin and a loyal group of volunteers are allocated a day or two each week and on those days, check the bin and take any produce directly to the hospice.

However, they have lost 2 volunteers, due to relocation, and are therefore in need of extra helpers. Currently they need cover for Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. You only need to pick a day. Or two if you wish! Call in on your way home from work, or you may have an allotment yourself, and you visit it once a week, is all that is required.
