A large funeral procession will be passing slowly through Milton this Friday (18/3). The procession will be led by a hearse, followed by a horse-drawn carriage and anywhere from 500 – 800 mourners walking behind.

It is due to leave the Blackwell Travellers Site at approximately 10am, going down Kings Hedges Road to St. Andrew’s Church in East Chesterton, with the service due to start at noon. At approximately 2pm the procession will walk up Milton Road and through the village to Milton Cemetery on Landbeach Road.

Timings and numbers could vary on the day but the police wanted to make sure we are aware it’s happening and ask for your patience if you are travelling in the area.
